Do you have an idea that you would like to explore? Do you wonder about a way to change practice or teaching for the better? Perhaps you would like to write a case report, do a literature review, or synthesize evidence into an engaging infographic. When the time is right, we invite you to explore the opportunities and resources that are available to support scholarship. At DFM, we are all scholars!
Take-away Tidbits
- Research Advice Café: Senior researchers offer mentorship to faculty members who are less experienced in research, providing advice and support to develop their research idea. Email pcrc@mcmaster.ca
- TRAction Toolkit: A toolkit for research in action: this website was created by DFM researchers to provide primary care research resources for each step of the research process.
- Research Knowledge and Skill Builders: Monthly virtual talks on research skills and methods. All sessions are archived.
- McMaster Library: Connect to the research consultation service to help with literature reviews.
- CFPC literature search: Members are entitled to one literature search per year; submit a request to Library Services.
- DFM Research Fund: Applications due December 9! The purpose of this funding opportunity is to foster a culture of inquiry through research that is relevant to primary care, and to build research capacity in individuals and the department. This year, DFM will fund up to 11 projects with awards of $5,000 to $10,000 each.
